🌿 My Favorite Essential Oil Blends for Summer (and Soul)

There’s something so powerful about scent—it lingers in our memory, shifts our mood, and anchors us back to ourselves. I’ve always loved using essential oils because they’re customizable, holistic, and endlessly creative. In the summer, I especially lean into blends that feel refreshing, clarifying, and alive—like the season itself.

Whether I’m setting the mood for a slow summer morning, unwinding after a long day in the sun, or tuning in before a sacred yoga flow, these diffuser blends help me come home to my senses. They feel like nature’s whisper, calling us inward while letting the world bloom around us.

Here are a few of my summer go-tos:

☀️ Fresh Summer Morning

Bright, clean, uplifting. Great for when the house needs a little energetic refresh.

  • 3 drops Lemon

  • 2 drops Grapefruit

  • 2 drops Rosemary

  • 1 drop Peppermint

🌬️ This one smells like open windows, fresh laundry, and a clear calendar.

🌸 Blissful Bloom

Floral, soft, but not too sweet. Perfect for an afternoon reset or hosting friends.

  • 3 drops Geranium

  • 2 drops Lavender

  • 2 drops Bergamot

  • 1 drop Ylang Ylang

🌼 Think of this as your “feel good” blend—balanced, romantic, and grounding.

🌙 Before Bed Blend: Lavender Peppermint Drift

Cooling and calming for summer nights when your body is warm and your mind is still racing.

  • 3 drops Lavender

  • 2 drops Peppermint

  • 1 drop Cedarwood

🛏️ I diffuse this as I wash my face, do some gentle stretches, and journal before bed. It helps me exhale the day.

🧘‍♀️ Yoga Practice: Sacred Clarity

Deep, earthy, clearing. Helps you drop into presence and intention before movement or meditation.

  • 3 drops Palo Santo

  • 2 drops Frankincense

  • 1 drop Eucalyptus

  • Optional: 1 drop Clary Sage

💫 This one makes my yoga mat feel like a sacred space. I also like using it during breathwork or sound healing.

🍃 Customizing Your Own Summer Blends

Don’t be afraid to play. I like to let my intuition guide me—some days I need citrus, other days I crave something grounding. Start with a base note (like cedarwood or vetiver), add a middle (lavender, geranium), and brighten it with a top note (citrus or mint).

And don’t forget to open a window. Let the scent swirl with fresh air. Let it be a ritual, not just a routine.
